TOP SECRET: Wildside Bowl Playbook

Hey boys and girls...here's the deal. Mark and I put together this little chunk of plays for you guys to get acquainted with before we practice Friday and play on Sunday. Here are some things to know before you read through it:

1. We WILL have these exact pictures in the huddle before every play and we will show you which one we will be doing. So you don't have to perfectly memorize it, but just look them over and read through them to try and get an idea of different things we will try and do.

2. Boys...disregard the second part of that first point. You MUST MEMORIZE EVERY SINGLE THING. Just kidding...but seriously...if you want you can quiz each other at school, print them out and study them instead of paying attention in class, etc. ;)

3. I know it might look confusing and you might just say "THIS DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!!!" and go back to checking your myspaces...but it is actually really simple if you read through what every little icon means.

4. WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A TON OF FUN ON SUNDAY!!!!! We will try to run these plays sometimes, we can make up more at practice, and if we think of anything funny or exciting we can do it for fun. It's no big deal. We just want to come somewhat prepared with a few ideas.

With that said...here is a little legend to help you understand what these plays all mean:

...Below I will post each of the plays we have so far. All of the runs are to the left. Mark is going to flip them all and we will have each play to the right as well. But for now, go through them, and if you have a question or comment, click on "Comments" and type your name and your question/comment...

As for the team...we have a lot more boys this year, so we aren't going to be getting so worn out playing offense and defense. But here is what we have for sure:

Quarterback: JT
Alternate Quarterback: Nate

Wide Receivers: Scott, Nate, Nolan, Bryce
Running Backs: Ryan, Nate

Tight End/Centers: Conor, Jared

...and Gannon you just do your best to get there when you can and we will put you in :)

We will figure out defense at practice...

As for the girls...we have you doing the same thing as last year. On offense you are usually getting open as much as possible, and then rushing the quarterback on defense. I know that most of our girls were better than any boy that played last year so that should give us a good chance again this year :)

Are all of you girls playing this year though? Poncho? Mouse? Sophie? Erin? Julia? Lindsey?

Let me know.

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. I will add text to explain each picture better tonight...but for now here they are. Check back tomorrow after school, and also don't forget to print them out tonight so you can study during lunch break tomorrow :)

In case you are wondering where Mark and I got the names from...we just decided to name plays after our favorite furry or majestic critters/creatures. Hope you don't mind ;)
